What is squalane?

Squalane is a multi-functional, microbiome-friendly emollient that locks in moisture and replenishes skin. Skin’s sebum layer naturally contains squalene, and squalane is a stabilized version that is recognizable to skin. Its non-greasy emolliency helps support skin’s moisture barrier by reducing transepidermal water loss.
