What Is a PHA, and Why Does It Matter?

Polyhydroxy Acids (PHAs) are the next evolution in acid exfoliation. They share the same molecular structure as AHAs — the category most estheticians know well — but with one key difference: a larger molecular size. That larger molecule means PHAs penetrate more slowly and more evenly, delivering controlled resurfacing without the post-treatment reactivity that can follow more aggressive acid treatments.

The result is effective exfoliation with significantly less inflammation. PHAs are well-suited for all skin types, especially for dull, reactive, or breakout-prone clients who might otherwise be told their skin cannot handle an acid treatment at all.

Australian Finger Lime Complex — A natural fruit acid and enzyme complex that promotes gentle resurfacing and brightness with high skin tolerance. This is exfoliation as nature designed it: effective, precise, and forgiving.

Pectinase — A plant-derived enzyme that assists in breaking down surface keratin buildup to enhance exfoliation efficiency. When your actives have less to work through, they work better.

The Mineral Rich Clay Blend — a combination of Illite, Kaolinite, and Smectite — is not decorative.
